What the study is for
Asuwada Foods is learning about everyday food purchases, prices, availability and shopping locations to guide product and distribution decisions. Adults aged 18 or older can choose to participate. You can stop before submitting without giving a reason.
What we collect
The live study collects your mobile number for verification, your answers, home and shopping LGAs, the recruitment link used, study timestamps and review history. If you choose to share it, we also receive your browser's current location and its estimated accuracy. We do not ask for NIN, BVN, a face photograph, passwords, bank PINs or a full home address.
Payment details are collected separately after submission. Finance staff see the account information needed to check and pay a reward. Research exports exclude mobile numbers, bank details, exact coordinates and free-text answers. Your study ID still links waves, so these exports should be treated as pseudonymous research data.
Rewards
Each eligible participant can receive one reward per wave after completing the survey and passing eligibility and consistency checks. The amount is shown before you start. A negative opinion, no purchase or refusal to share location does not reduce the reward. A duplicated or fabricated submission is not eligible. You can ask the study team to review a decision. Eligible rewards are paid within seven working days after your payment destination is verified.
Your choices
Permission for a future invitation is optional and separate from this survey. We do not collect photographs or use this text pilot to train an AI model. Any later photo study or model-training use will have its own explanation and permission.
Access, retention and questions
Access is limited by role. Contact the study team to request access, correction, withdrawal of future contact permission, or deletion where applicable. Research answers already combined into anonymous summaries may not be retrievable. Payment records may need to be retained for accounting obligations.
Proposed pilot retention: remove phone contact data and exact coordinates within 90 days after the final follow-up unless you opt into a further study; retain pseudonymous answers for up to 24 months. The operator must publish the confirmed retention and hosting arrangements before opening live recruitment.
